S'Horta Holidays
"On a hillside in the south east of Majorca, with magnificent views as far as the island of Cabrera, is the pretty village of S'Horta. Popular with walkers and cyclists, it is also an ideal base for those who want to combine trips to the nearby resorts of Cala D'or and Portocolom with outings to local sights. Small, quiet and very traditional, S'Horta is typically Majorcan and a delight to stay in.
With its narrow streets, beautiful church and small shops, bars and restaurants, S'Horta is a true Majorcan village. For those who enjoy hiking or cycling, this is a paradise because the charming village is close to some of the best sights on the island. The 14th century Sanctuary of la Mare de Deu de Sant Salvador and Castell de Santueri offer superb views over the island, while the nearby hamlet of Calonge has a variety of shops and superb restaurants. For beaches, S'Horta is just as convenient. One of Majorca's finest sandy coves, Cala Sa Nau, is a favourite of the locals, while the busier resorts and superb waters of Cala D'or and Porto Colom are just down the road.
